The Discord Server Banner, also called Server Banner Background, is a nice little banner that you can set up to make your Discord Server stick out a bit more.
However, there’s not so much info to be found on that topic, that’s why I thought I would give you guys all the info you would ever need concerning the infamous Discord Server Banner.
Discord Server Banner: Here’s WHERE it should display
The Discord Server Banner Background displays in the top left corner of your Discord Server.
Well, if it displays at all. The thing is that this banner is actually not available for everyone (every server). This is what brings us to the next chapter.
Discord Server Banner: Here’s Why The Banner Probably Doesn’t Show
In fact, not every server can just simply make use of the Discord Server Banner.
The truth is that only servers with at least 15 Server Boosts can make use of the Discord Banner!
As long as your Server did not get boosted at least 15 times, the banner simply won’t show.
15 boosts is equivalent to “Level 2 Perks.”
To check how many times your server has been boosted so far, you can simply click the Perks symbol in the top right corner of your Discord Screen (located left of your server’s name).
There, you can see how many times your server has been boosted so far. You will need to reach Level 2 to unlock the Discord Server Banner.
Also, you can boost your server directly from this page by clicking on the button “Boost your Server.” A server boost will cost you $3.49.
If you do have an active Discord Server & community, you can expect your members to help you boost your server and get to Level 2 in no time.
Also, when people get gifted Discord Nitro (the one for $9.99), they get 2 boosts included in their Nitro subscription. They can use these boosts to boost your server.
So why not doing some Nitro giveaways from time to time? This is great for server engagement and if you are lucky, some of the winners might boost your server with the gift that they have just received.
Discord Server Banner: Here’s a little GLITCH (and how you fix it)
As soon as you get to Level 2 Perks, you will want to get that Server Banner up and running on your server. That’s pretty much for sure.
However, sooner or later, you will most probably have less than 15 boosts again, as these boosts are not permanent (yea, that’s really a pity).
So, once you fall below 15 boosts, your Server Banner will indeed be gone. Bye Bye.
To bring it back, you will need to take some more money in your hand and boost again.
Once you hit 15 server boosts again, your banner should technically show again. However, it often doesn’t.
There seems to be some sort of glitch/bug that will prevent your banner from showing again.
So, if you again cranked your server boosts up and got to 15 boosts again and your server banner won’t show, do this:
Go into “Server Settings” and scroll down until you see “Server Banner Background” and then just simply click on “Change Banner” and then REUPLOAD your Server Banner (alternatively, you can also first click on “Remove” and then reupload, it doesn’t really matter).
Shortly after, your lovely Server Banner should be BACK! YAY.
